Meet Cathy
I’m a proud Texas native, born and raised in San Antonio, and a proud military spouse. As an active-duty Army family, we’ve lived all across the U.S., completing eight moves in just 15 years. Those moves gave me a firsthand understanding of what families face when they relocate, and they sparked my passion for helping others find a place that truly feels like home.
Whether you’re buying, selling, renting or PCSing to Joint Base San Antonio, I’ll walk you through every step, from timelines and financing to market trends and pricing strategy.

Looking for a Realtor in San Antonio? Hi, I’m Cathy Bruce, a REALTOR® with Home Pros Real Estate Group – San Antonio, Texas license #778310. San Antonio is my hometown. I was born and raised here.
I’m also an Army military spouse. Our family has made 8 moves in 15 years, so I know what it’s like to pack up, learn a new city and find the right home on a deadline. I bring that experience, and my hometown knowledge, to every client I work with, whether you’re PCSing to Joint Base San Antonio or making your first move across town.
As a San Antonio real estate agent, I help buyers, sellers and renters across the city and nearby communities, from Alamo Heights and Stone Oak to Schertz and Cibolo, Boerne and New Braunfels.
How I can help
- Buying: search San Antonio homes for sale using my MLS search, then tour with someone who knows the neighborhoods.
- Selling: get a free home valuation built on actual sold prices near you, plus a clear plan for preparing, marketing and closing.
- Renting: browse houses for rent in San Antonio and get help choosing the right part of town before you sign a lease.
- Military moves: compare areas near your base in my JBSA PCS guide, then see how VA-backed loans from private lenders work in my VA home loan guide.
Choosing where to live in San Antonio
San Antonio is big, and the right area depends on your commute, your school district and the kind of home you want. If you report to JBSA-Randolph on the northeast side, many families look at Universal City and Live Oak or Schertz and Cibolo. JBSA-Fort Sam Houston is just northeast of downtown, close to Terrell Hills and Alamo Heights. Camp Bullis is in northwestern Bexar County, northwest of San Antonio. If you are considering Boerne, test the route to your reporting location. Compare each area in my San Antonio neighborhoods guide.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find a good realtor in San Antonio?
Look for an agent who knows the specific part of town you’re considering, explains each step clearly and answers quickly. Ask how they price homes, how they handle offers and how they work with buyers who are moving from out of state. I’m a San Antonio native and an Army spouse, and I’m happy to answer those questions on a call.
Do you work with military families PCSing to Joint Base San Antonio?
Yes. Our family has made 8 moves in 15 years with the Army, and I’m highly experienced with PCS moves and the VA loan process. I can help you choose an area based on whether you report to JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, JBSA-Lackland, JBSA-Randolph or Camp Bullis.
Can I buy a home in San Antonio before I arrive?
Yes. I’ve helped clients house hunt, schedule inspections and close while living hundreds of miles away. We line up the search, tours, inspection and closing around your timeline and keep you updated at every step.
Which areas do you serve?
San Antonio neighborhoods including Stone Oak, Downtown, King William, Pearl and Monte Vista, and nearby cities including Alamo Heights, Olmos Park, Terrell Hills, Boerne, Bulverde, Castroville, Cibolo, Converse, Helotes, Kingsbury, Live Oak, New Braunfels, Schertz, Seguin, Spring Branch and Universal City.
Do you help renters and sellers too?
Yes. I work with buyers, sellers and renters. If you’re selling, I can prepare a free home valuation based on real local comparables. If you’re renting, I can help you search rental homes and narrow down areas.
